The terms, in plain English.
Last updated 16 October 2026
By using Owlinsight, including the waitlist and the Website X-Ray, you agree to these terms. Please read them.
Who you’re dealing with
Owlinsight is run by WatchOwl LTD, registered in England and Wales (company number 16176048), registered office167–169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London W1W 5PF. Contact: hello@owlinsight.co.uk.
What the X-Ray is
The Website X-Ray is a free, automated review of the public pages of a website, written for business owners. It gives general guidance based on what can be measured from outside. It isn’t professional advice for your particular situation, it doesn’t guarantee any result, and it may contain mistakes. Use your own judgement, or talk to us, before acting on it.
While the X-Ray is being prepared, you can join a waitlist instead. We may change, pause or stop the service, including the waitlist, at any time.
Fair use
- Only submit websites you’re allowed to have reviewed, such as your own or one you work on.
- Use your own email address, or one you’re authorised to use.
- Don’t try to overload, probe, copy or misuse the service, or get around its limits or bot protection.
We may refuse or limit requests that break these rules, or to keep the service running fairly for everyone.
Who owns what
Your report is yours to use however you like. The site, its design, its text and its guides belong to WatchOwl LTD. You may quote short parts with a link back; please ask before reproducing more.
Offers
Any discount we send you has its own offer terms, which apply alongside these.
Our responsibility
The service is free and provided as it is. We take reasonable care, but we don’t promise it will always be available or error-free.
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business or data, arising from your use of the service or reliance on a report. If we are otherwise liable to a business in connection with the free service, our total liability is limited to £100.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that can’t be limited or excluded by law. If you use the service as a consumer, nothing here affects your statutory rights.
Your data
How we use personal data is explained in our privacy policy and cookie statement.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version; continuing to use the service means you accept it.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, you can also rely on the mandatory consumer protections and courts of where you live.
